A Tribute To My Friend, The Horse

I do not wish you to live in fear of me.
And I myself do not wish to be ruthless over you.
I do not wish to have you tremble when I approach
but to prick your ears and come freely to me, neighing
I wish to know your troubled thoughts
Feel and heal your unseen pain
Release afflictions of the past
And help you love, and trust again
I see you lower your noble head
To drink from crystal streams
And eternity ripples through me
Because we have met before
And understand I mean no harm
Just want to get to know you more
And see your eyes shining like jewels
With a joy to carry me, effortless
Your spirit strikes a chord in my heart
We do not need to live in fear of each other
Just connect with the endless Spirit
As children of the Earth
Our souls unite and dance together
In harmony, without fear
Together we can soar...
