1997 - December 9,
KC was such a sweet boy who
was taken from us way too early. He was a friend's "dream horse" that she
had always wanted. We looked high and low and traveled many miles to find
the perfect horse...KC was his name.
He did not spend long at my friend's place, but he will never be forgotten.
He bonded instantly to her and you could see how much he loved her in his
eyes, as well as how much his owner loved him. They were always there for
each other and although they did not get to spend enough time together, as
we all would have liked, they will never forget the times they had.
In the end it was hard, but the look in his eyes said it all...I love you
and thank you for all you did to try and save me. He understood. His owner
did not. I hope that one day she can think about KC and what a great boy
he was and not how life can be so unfair. He did not deserve what had happened,
and it should have never ended this soon, this way. But everything happens
for a reason.
KC, you will always be in
our thoughts and hearts. We will all ride again someday.
