My Brave Horse

My brave, special Jesse,

I feel deeply honored to have had you in my life.

You helped me through the hard times, tears and strife.

I remember your willingness to please.

If  I ever was nervous, you put me at ease.

You helped me heal after Cookie and Gus passed away.

You too were special and precious in your own way.

I remember our last ride.

Though you were in some discomfort, my, how hard you tried.

You tried so hard to hang in there for me, though you were in pain.

Without you life will never be the same.

For the time  I  knew you, you made me so very happy. 

I'm so proud to have known you, my brave and special friend.

May you always know joy and happiness

my very special, brave, treasured friend.
