Breaking through the clouds at the speed of sight,
starry-hoofed, comet-crowned prince of flight.
Wraith-breathéd dragonfly,
how he rushes by windows of the soul in the midst of light!
Lightning flashes from his cayenne wings.
Thunderous sound from his feet are flung.
Star-stream voyager, brighter than a meteor,
swiftly around the heart's circus he swings.
Knocking at the door of secret dreams
ecstasies of childhood he fervently reclaims.
Running like a whirlwind, pinion of the peregrine,
swiftly he soars into dawn’s gold beams.
