I'd like to send a Tribute to my horse that passed away last June. I'm
14 years old now and I've loved horses since I was young. Willow was the
first horse I ever owned. She was a percheron/arabian mix. She was quite
old when she was given to me by my instructor as she could see the unbelievable
bond we had.
The first time I saw Willow was when my instructor went to look at her for
a lesson horse...she hadn't been ridden in years, but there was just something
about her that gave me confidence and I was the first one to ride her
bareback around the field where she was grazing. Willow was very special
to me. I knew the moment I saw her that someday she was going to be mine.
I shared a bond with her that is unexplainable.
She had developed bad arthritis, so I stopped riding her. Then my grandfather
gave me a horse that had not been trained. The day Willow died was the same
day that I got on the horse my grandfather gave me for the first time...Willow
had to wait to make sure that my new horse was going to be ok.
I know Willow will come back to me, because all great horses live again and
she sure was a great horse.
Love you, Willow, always
and forever.
