Rests in heaven is a special
part of my heart. Being the first horse I have owned, you will always have
a special place in my life that no other horse can fill. I miss being able
to go out to the barn and see your beautiful face and watch you try to get
treats out of my pockets. I will never forget the struggles we went through,
but by the end, we had it pretty good.
I remember when I first got you, your eyes so dull and you acting lifeless.
I also remember when you arrived at the stable that I kept you at, I remember
all of a sudden I had a horse that was excited. I will never forget how much
of a difference was in your eyes, but I will always remember how much you
trusted me from the beginning. You made it a very long way in your training
for only having been with you for seven months. I remember when I had a bad
day at school I would come over and just give you a long bath or you would
take me for a trail ride. You were my stress reliever.
I would just like to tell you that I am glad I saw you on Tuesday
night the morning before you perished. I remember going to fit your new blanket
and feeding you many more treats then you needed. I also remember giving
you a kiss goodnight just before I left. On the morning I heard about the
barn fire, I couldn't get up from my bed, I didn't believe that my beautiful
5 year old was taken from me. It just didn't seem fair. But I am glad that
you didn't go by yourself. You were accompanied by your adoptive dad, Java,
remember he will protect you from anything! Never be scared with him. You
also went with Tommy (the chestnut that was jumping so well), Paloma (the
mare that wanted nothing to do with you), Keynote (the old mare that would
always bite you as you walked by), Teddy (your buddy that you would play
off each others fears in the field), Hank (your 3 year old buddy that you
would rear with and have fun in the fields with), Polar (the beautiful white
horse that acted like he was five when asked to jump), Venture (the little
pony you out-showed many times), and Legend (the horse that you couldn't
touch because he was so valuable). I hope you all went peacefully and were
welcomed into the grassy fields and treat dispensers that don't't stop and
with a grain dispenser that never ceases. I also hope you have found the
carrot field that keeps growing and the warmth of a sunny day with the breeze
that makes a day so beautiful.
As I move on to another horse, I would just like you, Timmy, to know that
I will never be able to match such a great personality or work ethic as you
had. I can now officially say I never fell off you, you saved my butt every
time. Love to you always! Rest in peace, my little paddler.
