Poco's Style N Girl

Tia was a wonderful, rambunctious, beautiful filly. She was born April 8, 2009. She was born with no one around. My mare, Chancey, cared for her and gave her the best.

We weaned Tia at 6 months. The separation was hard for us all. We gave her away to a close friend of ours. But after they had her, we drifted apart. It seemed as though they took my baby away from me. I always believed she was mine.

A few months later, we got a call around midnight. Not from the owners of Tia, but a friend of theirs. She said, "Tia didn't make it.". The feeder that night called for supper. All the horses were in but Tia. She went out into the pasture. She called and called, then went searching. She found her. She was tangled in the electric fence. She called the vet while trying to calm her. The vet arrived and explained how she would not be able to do anything for the injury because of her age. They had to put her down two weeks till her first birthday. She died March 18, 2010.

May her little self rest in peace. Even though her owners had moved on with a new horse, I know I won't. I love you, my princess. All that you had taught me. And the pain you caused me, Chancey, and my family. But thank you, my pretty pony.
