Trickme Or
Treatme
Sometimes you meet a horse
for the first time and you just know that it was ment to be. This was how
I felt about Thilda, my best friend for the nearly three years I was
her lucky owner.
Thilda, a beautiful palomino
quarterhorse mare, was born on 21. June 1996 and went to live in
the green pastures of Horse Heaven on 7. April 2008. Thilda was a true
all-arounder, that special kind of horse that can do just about everything
you can possibly ask, but at the same time, in a good way, never lets you
forget that it is only when she feels like working that she does so. She
was that kind of horse that lets you work to deserve her attention, but when
you really deserve it, you get it by 200%. With her to Heaven, she took all
the best characteristics of her breed: A gentleness like no other, coolness
and an easy-going state of mind.
She taught me all about
western pleasure, western horsemanship and trail, but most importantly, she
taught me love and patience, and for this I am truly grateful.
My darling little princess,
words are not enough to describe how much you mean to me. I miss you
every day, but take comfort in knowing that you roam freely in the greenest
of pastures, where you can play and graze.
