Temararia, "Temi", and I
share an enormously strong bond and it is breaking my heart to have to let
her go. Despite all possible treatments and pain relievers for the past two
years, including numerous emergency treatments, she simply can no longer
go on and I can no longer watch my dear friend suffer.
Temi and I came together in
1992 and she did her name proud as "Temararia" means feisty woman in Spanish
and she sure could be feisty, full of energy and life, but always in a fun,
rambunctious and mischievous way, never dangerous or mean. Temi's face always
lights up when she sees me, and she has been an absolutely wonderful friend
and dressage and trail horse for so many years.
Temi, you gave me hope, happiness
and relaxation, especially when life was challenging and tough and I always
felt wonderful after spending time with you, leaving with feelings of joy
and love. I gave you all I had to give in terms of providing you with a wonderful
home and beloved companion, Besito, your boyfriend, lots of love, your favorite
foods and excellent veterinary care. You gave me more than I could have ever
asked for, learned whatever I tried to teach you and we could read each other's
minds flawlessly. Such relationships are so rare and valuable in life,
and they cannot be described in words, but I am doing my best.
Soon you will no longer be with me because I can no longer allow you to suffer.
It was the toughest decision of my life to make, but I am making it because
I love you so much. You have no idea how much I will miss you, Temi. You
deserve a peaceful, dignified passing and I will be there with you to the
end.
I will love you always and may your passage into heaven be a peaceful and
painless one. Temi, You will never be forgotten and will always be, and live
on in my heart.
