Sunny

Golden Palomino Quarter Horse

Sunny was the horse of my dreams. As a little girl, all I talked about was wanting a horse. He was there for me in times of need, he never let me down and I could always talk to him. He would always look at me with those big beautiful eyes as if he was looking straight through me. There was nothing we couldn't do together. He was my escape when everything else seemed to go wrong.

I think about him everyday and about all the amazing things he taught me. He would pull on my clothes when I wasn't giving him my full attention. I loved him so much. My life would have been so different without him in my life.

Sunny left us on August 16, 2012. He coliced, he was only 10. I held him and talked to him, telling him it would be all right as his eyes slowly shut. I knew he wasn't in pain anymore, he gets to eat and run as much as he wants now in heaven. He was buried by his favorite spot in the pasture right by the tall trees he would stand under during the hot days. He will forever be in my heart.

He has left a mark in my heart that will never go away. I know I'll see him one day. He gave me the wings to fly and for that, I am forever grateful. I love you, Sunny.
