Cool Star Attraction

A Tribute To Cool Star Attraction

Due to a tragedy that occured on July 5, 2003, we all grieve the death of a great horse. On that night, our horse, Cool Star Attraction, died.

Once in a lifetime, a great horse comes along. That horse  was "Star".  Star was born at our barn on March 30th, 1998. She was our first foal out of my first horse "Alliance A Lee".   One year after Star was born, we lost Alliance to Colic.

Star was shown at weanling and yearling halter. She was always in the ribbons.

When Star was two, she was bred to our Stallion and foaled one colt. The colt was a Stallion who is named "Ima Cool Poco Star". We are so grateful to have him still.

Star went on to become trained in barrels. Her first show that she competed at was at the 2002 State 4-H Horse Show in Montgomery, Al. She won Reserve Champion. We were so proud of her and we also took her to the Southern Regionals where she placed 9th in Pole Bending out of 103 horses.

John rode Star at all the local  shows. On July 5th, a tragic event occurred and we lost our beloved horse. At the time of her death, she was High Point Horse in the 13-17 division at Gulf Central Association, South Alabama Association and had already won the High Point Saddle for Outlaws of Vancleave. John also rode Star in NBHA shows and had qualified for NBHA World in the 1D Division.

Her sudden death has left us with a great sense of loss. She was a dearly loved horse that was everything we ever could have dreamed of. We will never forget our beautiful Star and she will always remain dear to our hearts.

No more stall doors will she open
No more carrots will she chew
Sweet Sweet Star
Oh how I will miss you...

Toni
