The little filly was born a frosty February morning. She was early and
wasn't supposed to be born until the first week in March.
Snowflake, as she came to be known, wanted to take on the world. Her first
day, she played with the other fillies and colts in the same pasture as her,
but on her second day she became lame and didn't want to walk on her hind
feet. The vet was called and he determined she was lame because her hind
feet were frozen and that eventually the hooves would fall off. We made the
hard decision to put her down a few days later.
She was a little filly that will be dearly missed, even though she only had
a few days on this Earth, she lit up all of our lives. We only hope that
she found her way to Heaven. We want to tell her to look for her big brother,
Hollywood, and that her mother and everyone on the ranch miss her dearly.
