Sinbad

Regency Sinbad

Welsh Cob D x Anglo Arab

Age 33
1975 - November 6, 2008

Sinbad was one of the most important things in my life, and in this memorial, I am going to try my best to describe just how amazing this beautiful boy was.

Sinbad stood by me, from birth till the day I lost him. There was not a day where I doubted him. Not a day where I did not trust him with my life. He taught me more than any teacher, and even on his bad days and my bad days, he comforted me and never failed to bring a smile to my face.

Sinbad was one of the most beautiful, sweetest horses you could imagine. He touched so many lives, and truly was one in a million.

He lived his life to the full, right up to the very day he died. He helped me through the bad times and the worst. He never questioned me, never judged me. He was my rock and never once let me down.

His quirky personality, never ending humour and love of life brought joy to so many people. Despite his madness, his badness, and his just plain craziness, he was a very much loved horse, to both me and my mother, and the other people around him. He was so gentle, despite his masses of energy and fear of anything that moved. When I was younger, he would allow me to bumble clumsily around him, brushing his coat the wrong way with the wrong brushes, never batting an eyelid. Despite his stallion-like bravado, he was a true softy at heart. I was devoted to him.

There are not enough words in this world to express how much he meant to me, how much he touched my life and how much I miss him. There will never be another Sinbad, and I will never, ever forget him. Try as I might, I simply cannot describe his beauty, his will and his love for the world around him. I can never thank him enough for what he did for me. He went the way he wanted, still full of energy, still living life.

May he rest in peace, as he deserves. Though I never will without him. Goodbye, beautiful.
