In Loving Memory of My Beautiful Rocky
Across an empty paddock,
on a cold winter night, I saw your shaggy face, poking over the fence. Covered
in mud and dirt, you never looked cuter, and I couldn't help but smile, and
think; "That little pony in the paddock was going to be mine to keep!" So
I hugged you, and I kissed you, and it was then I made my promise to love
and keep you, till the end of time.
Six years went by, and I
did keep you, and God knows just how much I do love you, my little friend
in the paddock. Then one day Mother Nature called for you, to gallop in the
big valleys in the sky, and you answered the call, pacing and rearing with
all your might.
Even though I can't hear
you calling out, and I can't see you pace, your warm lucerne breath still
keeps me warm on a cold winter's day.
Till the end of time, my little pacer, your soul is alive in my
heart.
Rest in peace my little
Rocky, until we ride again.
