This is my tribute to a very special horse...
Ricky, we had many years of fun...out riding in the woods with Rita and Paddy, taking out the rides at Parkview, especially the pub rides! The lessons...we had many arguments when you had a grump on, but we always made up!! You would grind and chomp your mouth to show how you felt, but also the softest, most loving horse.
You taught many people to improve their riding and confidence too. My eldest daughter you looked after as she looked after you the last few months for me. Dani , I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did caring for him. xxx Ricky I sneaked up when I could to see you. Just broke my heart the last few months I couldn't get daily but you know I loved you and you were being very well cared for by Dani and Tubs.
On the saddest day I got a distraught call from Dani. You were down in the field... I got there asap...as soon as I saw you laying there my legs collapsed...but I got to you. You had tried a few times to get back up. Even after I thought you had chosen your time to meet Kinny you gave it one last shot...got onto your front legs first, looked at me but just couldn't do it. On one of your attempts your leg broke :( The vet arrived, your time had come. We couldn't see you in any pain...so sent you to meet Kinny again.
I want to thank you for all the years we had together. Those memories I will treasure forever. You took a piece of my heart when you went. I will never forget you. Until we meet again for a good gallop!! Run free big man...
