I'll never forget seeing that thin, rangy young mustang mare come
off the trailer so many years ago. Little did I know she would become
my greatest partner and friend through countless adventures.

when you'd only been ridden for two months to facing mountain lions in the
darkness together on a mountainside, you were unwavering in your devotion
and bravery. I feel such a privilege to have shared so many years
together, yet heartbroken that you had to leave me so soon. It's been months
since you've been gone, yet I am only now able to write this.
I've never missed anyone
as much as I miss my old friend. You were my dearest companion for
thirteen years and showed me the true meaning of loyalty. You will never
be replaced nor forgotten. I know we'll be together again, because God wouldn't
send me to a heaven without you.
