To My Beloved
Prince,
You were the dream that
took years to come true for me and gave my daughter the dream of having a
horse as a child. You gave us both more joy and happiness in your short life
than many get in a lifetime.
You challenged me in ways I never imagined and rewarded me with the perfect
rides. Your little girl only got to enjoy the world from your back a few
times, but those will never be forgotten. You taught my son to ride and taught
my husband about horses. We all loved you in our own ways and will miss you
eternally.
You loved us and showed us that love is unconditional. I'm sorry you had
so much pain in the end, but I know you are free now. The tears do not stop
right now and you're teaching me the last lesson with your passing. Someday
we will meet again, all of us together. You will be waiting with ears pricked,
soft eyes, nickering and pawing the dirt like you did here on earth and we'll
all have a peppermint for you.
Rest quietly, My Sweet
Boy! We all love you and will miss you!
