Paddy

Gypsy Cob

22 years old

Died June 6, 2009

Paddy was always a perfect gentleman and a pure angel.

He would greet us every morning with a whinny and would, if we had the time, follow us around his paddock talking to us all day long. He adored everybody no matter what age. He would stand quietly for hours while he was brushed and pampered (only to go straight out into his paddock and roll).

Sadly we only had the pure pleasure of knowing Pads for 3 years. He had spent the rest of his years in a trekking center working very hard, and years of overwork and bad feed took a toll on him and he left us on June 6. He has left a large void in our lives that will be impossible to fill.

This is what I would like to say to my late gypsy cob paddy, he sadly died aged 22 on 6th June 2009 from an internal tumor. I miss him so much and I am lost without him

To Pads,

Thank you for sunrises that I would have missed.

Thank you for sunsets that I would of blindly walked through.

Thank you for images, long lost in childhood memories.

Thank you for an orchestra of sun-warmed insects that I was deaf to.

Thank you for mist rolling, frost sparkling magical mornings.

Thank you for clear star studded perfect nights.

Thank you for soft breezes like spun silk, and howling gales that stole my breath with icy fingers.

Thank you for the dragonflies, shimmering like rainbows.

Thank you for teaching me to laugh and smile.

Thank you for teaching me real wealth and pure beauty.

Thank you for teaching me what missing really means.

Thank you for every good, bad, freezing cold, rain soaked memory.

Thank you for letting me meet you.

Thank you for being you, my friend, keeper of my secrets, my guardian angel.

With many thanks,
Yvonne
