Lilly-Bell, you had that
special look the day I found you at the auction. Someone had forgotten to
care for you and you were so skinny, every rib could be counted. Though your
sway back was there to make all look worse, no one was charged with the cruelty
that they had done to you.
But that special look
called upon me that day. If I had not been there, you never would
have been the best part of my 3 years that I was privileged to be with
you. Though you were blind and never really knew what I looked like, I knew
what you looked like and I am going to miss that so much when I come into
the barn.
I will miss your whinny when the feed door opens. Even when I try to sneak
the door open, your wonderful little ears can hear me. You were so good
at that.
I will miss
having to make your special meals for you. But as I have been told,
"God gave you to me for a short time, and he has plans for you.". You are
a magnificent QH that deserves to run free and see all the beauty that God
has in his wonderful place called the Rainbow Bridge.
Meet up with your friend Chulita, please take
care of little Twisty, and run with Physillis and Sandy. Wait for me Lilly-Bell,
I will be there one day to let you see
me.
You will be
a part of me forever. You have touched my life and the lives of all who came
in contact with you in so many ways that we cannot
count.
I know that this was the best thing I could do for you. My
gift to you, freedom from the health issues that plaqued your
life.
