American Saddlebred 16 years old Spring 1992 - September 10, 2008 Lady was my first, very special horse. She was my 16.3hh baby. When I got her, she was very underweight and in terrible shape. She had been abused and was terribly afraid of men. She would not cooperate with anything - tying, standing for farrier, loading, letting a man near her, anything to do with her head. With lots of love, time, and trust, she became my everything horse. She used to spin to dislodge me then look down at me as if to say, "Why are you down there?". When I lost her, there was nothing she wouldn't do for me because she trusted me and because I asked it of her. I miss her so much. Sometimes I don't think I'll make it through the day.
