Jazz was a gift from God. A childhood prayer answered. He was my police horse for 11 years out of 18 years served on the Cook County Forest Preserve Police Department. Jazz was 7 years old when I was partnered with him. When the unit disbanded in 2007, I purchased him as my own. He lived to age 31.
I have the best memories of Jazz. He lived a very eventful and full life. He was truly the most gentle and loving horse I’ve ever known. He was happy and loved deeply by many. I am forever grateful to God for the many blessings. And to all my family and friends for their love and support to Jazz.
