We had to say goodbye, it wasn't fair for you to be in so much pain. You had bad laminitis and coped but never let it get you down till the last few days.
The vet was due at 1:00 and it was like you knew your time had come. You laid down on the grass to hear me cry. We spoke about all the good times until the time passed by.
It got to 12:00. You put your head on my lap, looked at me and shut your eyes. And I had to be brave and get them to you sooner even if it meant losing time with you, you were in so much pain.
I sat with you till the end. I heard your last breath. Straightened your mane and kissed you goodbye.
