This is Cheyenne. He came to our farm when he was four months old. He
was a walkaloosa and northamerican spotted draft cross.
He was taken from us much too soon at the age of three. He was always
hanging over your shoulder no matter what you were doing, as if he was trying
to help. Always full of mischief and wanted to be with you when none of the
other horses cared to.
He will forever be loved and missed and always be our little mate.

My dearest Cheyenne. I can still see you galloping across the fields, tail
and head high. It has been a year now and the pain and tears have never lessened.
Dad and I miss you so much we can barely stand it. You were our first horse
and we had a love for you that will never be matched. You were one of a kind
and you can never be replaced.
I thank you for the love you gave us, you were so forgiving. I also
thank you for the time you were here with us, and for all the
memories.
Your mom stands and looks toward your grave often. I'm sure
she misses you too. I am glad you are not suffering anymore, I could not stand
to see you hurting so much. But my dear Cheyenne, I love you and miss you
so, my heart is still breaking and the tears won't stop falling. I will never
forget you or stop loving you as I promised those last few hours. Your blanket
hangs on your stall door. But you are not there...
