Blonders

Dutch Warmblood
21 years old
Date of Death: March 19, 2011

His name was Blonders. He was my first horse ever and taught me so much. He was chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. He was twenty when we got him, so he was a been there, done that, kind of horse.

I remember one specific horse show where it was pouring down rain. We were right about to go into a class and I was very scared because everybody's horse was freaking out. Of course, Blonders was perfect. We ended up winning that class because he was the only horse that could keep his cool (:  Of course, he had his little quirks but that was what made him special.

I didn't have him for a super long time, but the impact he left was longer than the time I had him. I ended up selling him to an older lady as I was moving up. I ended up switching barns so that was the last time I ever saw him.

A couple days ago I heard he passed away because of a shattered pastern. To say I was really sad would be an understatement. I just want to commemorate him right now because he was such an awesome and sweet horse. Not a bad bone in his body. He deserves this page to commemorate him.

I will always remember how pretty he was and how sweet and gentle he was with me. I regret not having visited him and seeing him for that amount of time before his passing. I know that I will meet him at the Rainbow Bridge and we will see each other again someday (:
