My darling Bessie, the love of my life. I was born to meet you. We met in 1994 and were instantly inseparable. I remember the first time I ever saw you, you were grazing in the field, your coat shining like a conker. I thought "That's MY horse."
We had lots of lovely times over the years and I adored you. You were so kind, loving and sweet. You got me through some awful times in my life. When I had spent all day being bullied at school, I would come home to find you waiting for me at the field gate, and you would whinny at me. When I came out of hospital after being so ill, you were happy to see me, following me round the field, reminding me that I mattered to someone. When I split up with my husband, your cuddles got me through each day. You were always my happy ending and now my life is over.
I will be waiting for the day when I can see you again. No-one could ever compare to you. All of my heart belongs to you.
