On February 27, 2013 my care-taker, my fun pal, my loyal companion, and my best friend, died. Bart was 22 when he passed to heaven.
This mule was truly everything. I loved him so much, and I still do. It was God's will that he was to join Rocky peacefully in the meadows of the next life. Bart let me be silly, stupid, and reckless on him.
Bart got sick and went off his feed. At first it seemed he had a bladder infection and so he went on medication. But one day when my aunt went to give them to him he wouldn't get up. He was colicing severely and was in a lot of pain. But when he passed it was peacefully and naturally with everyone he loved around.
He never spooked or bucked. Bart was a John Mule. I did everything on him from liberty, to barrel racing, to trail riding.
I love you so much. Thank you for all the amazing memories you shared with me. Happy Pastures Bart, I'm going to miss you a lot. ♥
