1986 - 2009
I got Babe when I was nine years old. She taught me so much and led me through adolescence.
When I went into the service, I had to leave her behind with some friends of mine. She was always there for me when I came home on leave. One whistle and I would hear her nicker and then she would come running to see me.
After a couple very tough deployments for me emotionally, she kept me off the edge of a very steep cliff. If it weren't for Babe, I would not be here today. So on October 8, 2009 I had to do one last nice thing for her. I had to end her pain. She had developed very bad arthritis and would not have made it through another winter.
Babe is and always will be my one true love. So again Babe, thank you.
