American Paint Horse 2001 to October 13, 2010 Allie, age 9, was humanely put to sleep on October 13, 2010 at 6:55 pm. This decision was made after a lengthy battle with Pythiosis or rather, Gulf Coast Fungus, or Phyco.  I received Allie from some very dear friends of mine.  Allie was always the low man, or rather, woman on the totem pole.  She was a very sweet and very calm mare.  She will always be in my heart! I would describe Allie as being a little girl of maybe 6 or 7, dressed in a pink frilly dress, however she had bandaids on her knees.  She was a true gentle spirit! Lisa Horses are creatures who worship the earth, as they gallop on feet of ivory, constrained by the wonder of dying and birth, the horses still run, they are free. John Denver
